I am so proud of this bloom! It smelled the whole house with citus. It has a second bloom spike just opening.

When the new spike opens I'll take pictures of the whole plant. I think it's standand size, but I'm not sure. I really like it and if con't to grow well, I'm getting another. I'm that close to being hooked on cymbidiums!!

Lisa, Golden Elf is not a standard size...it's a miniature Cymbidium (or something close to it, anyway). If you saw a standard Cym, you'd know the difference in a heartbeat.

BTW, nice shot! Our Elf is recovering from a bug infestation, so it'll be awhile before we see blooms out of it again.

I found it listed as a "semi-miniature" (?)on a website that had it for sale. Full size are 3-4 feet tall. Wow, now that's a big orchid! Think I'll stick with the miniature.
