That is a fantastic red, Yew!

Absolutely beautiful do you have any problem with yellow bettles?
Good color!
A VERY VIVID RED on a large, healthy plant! Wonderful Yew! I have a Kagawaaka Kerling Yap. I purchased some months ago. It has not bloomed yet and its not nearly your orchids size! AL
Thanks Zainal, Yes, I do have a problem with yellow beetles. I attribute that to the vivid red of the flower and especially the yellow in the throat and side-lobes, which might seem like other yellow beetles settling on the flowers. But worse than that, are thrips that destroy buds (sucked dry) and cause deformities in the blooms. However, this time I have almost perfect blooms after managing to control the infestation with imidacloprid. Even the yellow beetles seem to stay away.
Thanks everyone for looking in and for the nice comments. Kagawaras tend to grow very big and would be a problem for growers with limited space.
OMG, this is a such an awesome combination, great colour, free flowering and soo many blooms on a single spike, I want this one badly !
Wow it puts on a real show! Congratulations Yew
