    Aha - your thread title rang a bell - my wife has just been on a birthday orchid binge ( my birthday) - she doesn't know it yet, and its too cold at present in Northern Europe to send plants by post ( minus 1.5 degrees C. in the garden, according to the wireless thermometer on my desk, as I type , although it is 3.30 am) so I have asked for the plants to be sent when I call for them, perhaps at the end of February , and the next time she asks what I want,which is approximately weekly ( my birthday is still 3 weeks away) I shall tell break the news that there will be a "small" item on my credit card she might like to attend to .
    Now I shall have to look for spaces to put them when they do come . No mini-phals though, my taste lies elsewhere today.
