Hi all!
I was in Montreal since Wednesday, and I just got home to this little cutie! I transplanted this plant into S&H recently; here is the link:

I was SO sure this bloom was going to blast...it started to develop in NYC about 4 weeks ago, then we drove to Chicago (this plant was a U-Haul resident!!) and stayed with my husband's in-laws for 2 weeks waiting for our apartment to be ready (and it kept growing) where it sat on the east-facing porch outside (and it got COLD at night!!), and now its in a southern-facing windowsill in the city in our new apartment and it SURVIVED!!! Its some sort of miracle, I tell ya....and a true testament to the durability of cattleyas, they have truly won my heart!!
And it smells nice too...very floral. I'll tell ya more about the scent tomorrow when it's been in the sun for a bit.
