Hi. Looking at the mix in your photo and reading what you said about it staying wet for 2 weeks, I suggest repotting. Go to your local big box store and look for an Orchid Bark Mix (medium bark size). Follow Susan's advice about the styrofoam peanut (none bio-degradable.) Stake the plant so that it stands up and do not sit it in a dish that holds water.
You should be able to water once a week, and it dry out. In a more open mix, you may have to water twice a week. Whatever you do, remember that it should not remain wet. Phals do not have pseudobulbs, so their roots never want to fully dry out, but they do not want to remain wet either.
