Default Aerides of Palawan, a new undescribed specie

The so-called Aerides odorata of Palawan should be distinguished as a new specie. There are lots of consideration why it should be called a separate specie. Here are my observations:

    1. This plant thrives in warm and humid habitat in Palawan island while the typical Aerides odorata thrives in cool and dry habitat and it hates being too wet.
    2. The leaves of the specimen from Palawan are thicker and slender than typical Aerides odorata.
    3. The spur (hypochile) of the specimen from Palawan is pointed and extended unlike Aerides odorata it is short and not pointed.
    4. The lip (labellum) of the specimen from Palawan is much serrated than Aerides quinquevulnera and Aerides odorata and it is elliptic; is visible when flowers opened unlike Aerides odorata it is hidden and enclosed by lip side lobes
    5. The flowers are much larger than Aerides odorata.

Please refer to the photos that are compared...
