Hello group, this is a great forum where everyone shares their experiences with our plants. Ive always loved orchids primarily because of their longevity and beauty. They fascinate me

Three years ago I bought a basket of Dendrobium Jacqueline Thomas and Uniwai Pearl from one of the online retailers. I wasn't too happy with them because the plants were small, mere seedlings!!

When they finished blooming I didn't have the heart to throw them out since it was pricey

I made a pile of lava rock, topped it with many bags of charcoal and orchid bark. I planted my dens and other later acquisitions directly in this mix and aimed the sprinklers at them. I keep the tags on my plants for future identification
