Hello all you producers of beauty and happiness out there! I may be making much ado about nothing, but this Grammatophyllum is in some ways different in it's growth and behavior than my other orchids. The following photos show a black/brown spot on one of the outer sheaths of this plant. The leaf is going to eventually drop, but I'm not particularly worried about that. Using care and a q-tip swab I probed underneath this sheath where I found a prefectly healthy pseudo-bulb and moisture that barely dampened the heads of the swab. My question is: Should I worry? To cut that black brown part of the sheath out I would have to cut the over lapping other sheath on top of it and I would rather not do that unless I have no choice. Thanks in advance!
