    Default 2 New Acquisitions - NOID Trichocentrum & Epc Rene Marques

    Trichocentrum. once called Mule-eared Oncidium are seldom seen today at the vendors' here. A month ago I came across several of these Trichocentrum, some blooming and some in buds. I chose one with buds with the assurance of the vendor that it would be the one with bright yellow skirt.After 2 weeks the flowers opened and indeed they were the ones with the yellow skirt.I love these as the yellow doesn't fade as the blooms age. Unfortunately it is a NOID and someone suggested it could be Trt Kuquat but I googled and couldn't find one with similar yellow lip/skirt. I hope someone can ID this one.

    At about the same time I found this Epc Rene Marques at another vendor and quickly grabbed this one as it has been on my wish list for quite some time. .
