I got beautiful first orchid about 4 weeks ago/is little speckled leaf phal 'Connie Moody' that came with budding spike - read,read,read - got shelves, grow light, humidifier tray - read,read,read some more - joined Orchid Forum - am NOT going to obscess over a plant! but...2 of the only 5 leaves are yellowing!! is it the temp? is it my water technique? is it gone postal after mailing? is it lonely? is it too much or too little light?...read,read,read,,,?repot or not? it is in that darn moss and almost everyone says NOT good!! got bark just in case...maybe needs spike removed ? Prayer!! that always works...no obvious disease - just ? normal aging of bottom leaves? WACK! don't want rot! sterilize scissors - do the cinnamon thing - that was yesterday - and just now I happened to notice the buds are..........OPENING! Good lesson - they ARE tougher than they look - and definitely tougher than the gardener! P.S. thanks for all the great info here
