Good growing, Kfir! I really like the close up of the spots and hairs on the nepenthes mixta. Really cool.
Cheers,

Neat ! Are the young ones from cuttings or from seed ? if cuttings when did you take them spring ? winter or ? I have 2 nepenthes the one that bloomed is a male so no seed . Gin
thanx-the yong ones grown from seeds-each 1 is difrent specie!!!
Kfir, your Neps are wonderful. I have 2 Alata's and am happy to report that the youngest one is making a new pitcher. I'm thrilled. Thanks for sharing these fotos.
Kfir when they are small they look very nice and cute and over period of time the plant become very huge and consume a lots of space like small bushes and how do you overcome this problem later.
Gin, cuttings can be taken at any time but personally I feel it's best to do it in the late spring/early summer. Many plants in general seem to root better at warmer temps.
Cuttings need to be stem cuttings, to the best of my knowledge. Stem sections should be 1-2+ inches in length and need to include at least one node. You'll see the node just above where a leaf joins the stem. You will 'bury' the stem so one or two nodes are covered. (Burying 2 nodes doubles your chances that at least one will take.) Cut off the leaf that is below the node close to the stem. All leaves that will be above the media should be cut down to about 1-1.5 inches. If you have a very small/young new leaf like if a top cutting is used, you can skip cutting that one. Once new growth begins, you'll know the cutting has rooted.
For media I always used damp sphag
Thank You Pavel ,I will use your information , I tried cuttings last year, after reading your post think I know where I messed up . Thanks again![]()
