Need to divide Miltonidium

I have a Miltonidium that is just about finished blooming, is this a good time to divide this plant?

If the plant is large enough to divide, it should be fine. How large is it?

Beautiful bloom, Ron, but perhaps you have a photo of the plant. If I can see its size, I can recommend if it is ready to be divided or should continue to grow. Usually, when dividing, one wants to split the orchid so that it has several pbulb to give nourishment to the new growth.

yes, I like 4-5 p-bulbs per division.

Well that answers my question. It only has two large bulbs and about three new growths. So perhaps just a bigger pot this year. It is in a four inch that is filled with roots and very little bark left, in fact I will have to cut the pot off because of the mass of roots growing out of the bottom of the pot.

Yep! I'd say let that baby grow at least 1-2 more years, then it'll be big enough to divide. I always try to have a minimum of 5 pbulbs per division...if you have less, you might stall the plant and it won't be able to start growing as fast. Better to wait and insure you are successful
