    I am tempted to try to grow something at my office desk, which has a big window facing NW, but the window sill is basic, so no room for a plant. It gets direct light thru the window but not on my desk, which only gets fluorescent and indirect light. I need to check my light range in the office (at home too) to see how much I have. My philodendron does well and my lucky bamboo did okay (I gave the bamboo away)

    It's lovely. you will enjoy this plant. I have one just for the leaves!!

    I LOVE the leaves too. My favorite leaves are on a Paph venustum.

    Oh my gosh! I have that variety of Paph venustum!

    But the one on the link is surely a winner! Hopefully one day mine will be almost as impressive.

    guess you won't be dividing your plant anytime soon... imagine 5 flowers all at once!!! Brain overload!!!

    it was funny scrolling down to the part that says "Award for rare flower" and they have a fairly common Dendrobium linguiforme var nugentae (aka Dockrilla nugentae).. well it's common enough here in Oz

    and above that, I have never even heard of Epi nocturnum!!!
