This post made me laugh, I had no idea what a "Dirty Santa" gift was ...
(As you all know, French people's minds are in the gutter! )

That is an enormous floof. Impressive!

heheh.. rest easy, LL. I am sure your creative thoughts on 'Dirty Santa' are much more interesting than the actual game.

Here is how it works: So, everyone at the party brings a gift that is related to the theme and costs approximately the same amount (value).

Each person playing gets a ticket with a number or letter or even their name on it and an exact copy of that ticket is placed into a hat or bowl. Someone in charge draws out a ticket and reads off the name, etc.. Then the person with the matching ticket goes to the gift table and picks any gift s/he wants and opens it in front of the group.

That person then takes the gift s/he opened and has a seat. The person in charge draws out the next ticket. The next person has the choice to either take away any gift drawn before his/ her name was drawn, or open a new gift. Gifts that are taken away 'Stolen' can only be taken a maximum of three times. If your gift is 'taken', then you in turn can take another gift from the table or take a gift that has already been opened and not 'taken' three times. You cannot take the gift that was just taken from you, but you can take it if another person has had a turn when after your gift was taken.

It sounds a little convoluted, but can be really a fun game - though your 'Dirty Santa' might be more entertaining. LOL

    Cheers,
    BD
