I thought I recall hearing the brugs refered to as 'devils trumpets' (because they point down) while the 'angel trumpets' are the upward facing flowers like the Daturas....

Actually it is the opposite Brugs are the Angel trumpet and Dats are the Devil's. I found a stray Double Purple Datura seedling last fall it is now just blooming, I will post some pictures. Thanks for all of your kind words.

Actually that was 2 years ago. This time last year we had a heavy frost and I lost the top 2-3' of both trees, it took them the better part of 6 months to recover.

Lordy, lordy, the things us northerners have to endure.... Cin, I sure hope that beauty is showing it's stuff when we come down in March. The two cuttings you gave us are doing great but up here they die back in the winter. So nice to see their mama going great guns!! Can't wait to pay proper homage to the Angel.
