Tiny Unknown Flowers

Okay...all you botonists out there, here's a good one for you. Do you know what this tiny one is?







I don't know if it's a weed, or a far flung orchid relative that is so tiny you'd usually never see it. I found it growing with a lily out front. It had made the roots of the lily it's home and when I noticed it growing in there, awhile back (because of where it came from), I decided to leave it in case it was something exotic. The whole plant aboveground was maybe 1-1 1/2 inches tall. It's just tiny and with the bare eye the flowers looked like tiny bells. After snapping a few dozen pics I came up with a couple that show it's features. Without a really expensive camera this is the best I can do....they are such tiny little things! Unfortunately, after a couple of the first few pics I broke off the flower stalk...i'm hoping it'll grow a new stalk of flowers. I notice what look like tiny roots starting above where it broke off, maybe it'll grow new roots as well.
So, Anybody got a clue??

I don't know the proper name, Connie, but they look like what we call lawn orchids. Nice pics - I haven't been able to get a good shot of them. Don't they remind you of little wood nymph lamps?

Yeah, I told my husband when I first saw them the fairies were growing things out front. lol Once blown up, majorly, they start to look more like flowers than bells.

Hopefully, as with most orchids breaking the flower spike doesn't kill it, this one won't be weird and croak. I put the tiny little thing into wet spag in the hopes it will keep blooming. I found it after a search on the web and was shocked to see it really was an orchid. I'm still amazed I didn't pull it up when I thought it was a weed!

Connie you won't have to worry about killing them. We had a small patch in a local state park that was right on the water on the intercoastal waterway(salty/brackish). After hurricane Ivan the patch was relocated naturally thanks to the storm surge to higher ground about a half mile inland and they are doing VERY well!
Yes, wood fairy flowers. They are just so cute but so small you would never think they are orchids! The tallest I've seen is only about 3 inches he towered over his sibs. Thanks for the pics. The yellow lip is so very hard to see!
