NEW ARRIVALS FROM BUYING SPREE

I went to the Lansing Show and bought a few Orchids and made another stop on the way home and filled the back seat of the car. Where am I going to Put them all. I bought 22 in all and all but 4 are in bloom. The rest are in spike. Here are just a few.

WOW. - 22 orchids at one go... you are hooked! I hope you get that GH setup pretty fast. You know the addiction is getting bad when you start pushing furniture out of your house so you have more room for orchids.... I remember someone commenting that if they got rid of their bed, they could put tables in their bedroom to hold more orchids. They could always sleep on the sofa.... lol...

Yes I am hooked. When we got home will all the Orchids I could not bring myself to take them in the basement so I made some room in a big bow window in the living room and put a lot of them there and I have a bay in the dining room that was full of plants but I managed to squeeze a few in there. Now I am thinking about adding some light to the window in the living room. (wife won't like that) hope I can get that greenhouse up in short order. The Orchids are mostly Cattleyas and they are huge some have 3 bloom spikes and are in 8 inch pots. Almost everything I bought were in 6 or 8 inch pots. I am having trouble getting pictures that are good enough to post but I will keep trying so you can see more of these beauties. I won't have to give up my bed yet.

Holy smokes, 22!!!!!! I love that yellow and red catt, the contract between the lip and the petals is awesome. And I thought I had an orchid shopping addiction LOLOL...
