I'm beat... we just had our local fall show. I volunteered so all together I was there 11 hours this weekend. I did buy some pretty cool plants. Here is a list of what I got, any cultural tips are greatly appreciated.

Almost all are BS, a lot of them are in spike/bud. Thanks again for any cultural advice, especially on the Phrag, I really want it to do well.

Congrats on your new orchids! Wow, they sound like they're rare. Maybe you can do a search on the internet and come up with some good info. Or someone else with more experience can help you out here...Good luck with your orchids!

Phrag. wallisii is one of the long-petalled species, and will require much different culture than most other phrags. It appreciates very strong light levels, almost standard catt range if you can keep the air moving to cool off the leaves. It will not appreciate sitting in water and will probably rot its roots in short order--grow it more like a paph, evenly moist but never "wet".

Perhaps most importantly, this and related species are *very* prone to basal rot, especially during the hot days of summer. Air movement is absolutely essential, and even then you want to be vigilant.

But grown well, it is nothing short of spectacular when it blooms.
