Phal Problem

I am having a problem with one of my phals. The pics are below. It has never been outside, and there are new blooms that are opening. The spot suddenly came up, and the other yellowing leave was hidden. Any ideas on what it is, and treatment?

i think two problem with it ,the sun burn the leaves ,and over water to make leaves , i guess it by experience

Problem is that it never gets, or has gotten direct sun. I have not repotted it since I bought it in full bloom. I know the top is sphang moss, but the medium is mostly styrofoam squares, and some orchid bark in a plastic pot. I do not like plastic pots or unatural potting medium.

Well, I just unpotted it. I do not like to mess with plants in spike. The poor thing was completely packed in sphan. moss, and in a plastic pot. I removed all the medium, and now I am letting the roots dry. I will have to cut off 70% of the roots due to rot. I am sure I will loose the spikes. I hate when plants are potted this way. I will cut the dead roots off, and put it in an Orchid Pot using Orchid Bark. Any suggestions as to how long I should leave the roots bear to dry out?

Most of the roots on both plants will have to go. Should I put powdered Rooting Hormone on the bottoms of the plants before I repot them?

In VietNam (Asian) we are to dry out the roots bear about three day an put in orchid pot ,new root have in a short time

Yes. That should help start some new root growth.

The sun burn spot could be the result of reflected light as well. If there is a mirror or glass object that could bounce light, this could have caused the burn spot. We once had a problem when it snowed here. We use 70% shade cloth on the GH, but when the snow was on the ground here, the bounced light came in through the sides of the GH and turned everything yellow.
