    Smile Oncidium Sharry Baby 'Sweet Berry'

    Hello orchid friends! Long time no chat, and boy do I miss you all! In my wanderings, getting the daughter and granddaughter settled in, I managed to find a nice Sharry Baby. I'd been eye'ing the others on here for awhile and waited to find a nice one for a reasonable price. This one has only one spike of flowers this time, but with 5 new growths coming along nicely I'm guessing it'll be putting up a few more next time. I'm not sure if this one is common, the clonal name is Sweet Berry and the color in the pics is as dark as they look. Their ruffled lips are not colored the same...each spots are in different places and different shapes. I love these easy growing oncidiums!

    Early in the day, yes. I love the smell...all us chocoholics do i'm guessing! lol I also love the shape of this one. It is like a very small shomburkia with it's twisty petals. The more I stare at it the more I like this one.

    Due to the fact this nursery likes to put oncidiums into bark without cleaning off any of the old spag....and then puts them into big pots....It'll be getting repotted very shortly. lol Back into a smaller plastic pot, or clay pot....and out of this huge water-root-rot-set-up.

    Very nice, Connie. I didn't see 'Sweet Berry' until after Ron's question. I read 'Sweet Fragrance'. I wonder if the scent is the same.

    i miss the fragrance of my sharry baby, we saw one from our garden store, and am thinking
    of getting another one as this one is still budding.

    Sharry babies always had fragrant, a sweet smell. If you had got it in your house,pervasive perfume full your house. Nice shooting. Love it!
