Thanks for the info Darren, I guess thats why mine got so distressed and died, the shop that sold it me said it prefferred warm but would do ok in a cold tank, poor little guy sure didnt agree. Thank yu My orandas are my little babies as I cant have any other pets just now, we have had them two years now we got them about 2 weeks before our wedding as we lost our tropical tank to a nasty disease ( was a 4ft tank) and we said thats it we having freshwater cold water fish from now on as we cant handle the trouble we had with the tropicals again. We gave the tank away I wanted it for orchids but its home was taken over by my grandparents old wooden glass fronted bookcase so it had to go.
No problem, more bettas crowntail and regular blue bettas![]()
wow i've never seen the half moon or the crown tail. Fantastic.
Tmai
Thanks Tmai, i will show you later with extend red half moon betta.
In actual fact, Bettas evolved in a part of the world where there are lots of small pools of water and, because they can take oxygen from the air, the water they live in can be quite stagnant--I understand they have been found in the wild in really small pockets of isolated water. So, although it may look wrong to see them stacked on the shelves, they are probably not unhappy.
The colors of Bettas are stunning, aren't they? Gorgeous, Darren! I, like many others (I suspect) on this forum, have kept tropical fish. I wonder how of us have done so?
Cheers,
Rob
Thanks Rob, Yes they are gorgeous! I agreed with you, betta fish shouldn't kept in small container or decoration, but some people out there so cruel keep betta in vase with the plant decoration,so far i know a few people in this forum know how to keep their fish live healthy & happy.
