I had to ask Jim for its ID. The illustration in his book was photographed a bit differently and I did not recognize it, lol...
I don't think so. That is the classic Aerides odorata, and is similar to the plants you can obtain from Borneo island, with which the island of Palawan has floral affinities.
Thanks Nelson, I would like those plants to be available here but no-one seems to be interested. There are a few odorata varieties but nothing like this.
Dendrobium bullenianum surprises me. It bloomed last January to March, and now a few of the plants are in bloom again.
