Damaged dendrobium needs HELP!

In the building where I work had a dendrobium growing mounted on a palm branch, in a small garden. Nobody knows who put it on there. A couple of weeks ago I saw three spikes coming and each day I glanced it to see how it’s going… I’m growing fond of it .
The buds have been growing very fast and I’s eagerly waiting for the blooming.
To my surprise (bad) this afternoon when I went to see it….someone wrung out it … and I don’t know how, planted in the ground ?????? for what?
I was furious.
perhaps an unsuccessful attempt to steal the Orchid.

The buds look very healthy, so I took it to my house and don’t know what may be best to save the buds and future flowers. Poor dendro!!!!
I’d be very happy if I could do the best for this miserable and hurt orch.
Should I mount it, or better cover the roots with moist sfagno and wait….. someone help me with some advice?
When it's ok again (if), I'll return it to its original place.

You can save it. I have seen worse looking dendrobium orchids pull through. Most likely the buds will not open, but don't give up. I bet if you put it in a bark mix, it would start growing new roots pretty quickly. It looks healthy with the exception of the dry roots. Good luck!

Put this in a wooden basket with moss and it'll pull through, trust me

the buds might still open, sometimes i get em in this condition.
they want to be on the dry side while blooming anyway, i would mount it again and give her very similar conditions from where she was, or why not bringing her back to the old spot?
just keep the roots moist for the next few days.

Yes I believe it will be fine. Yesterday I was very angry with those who did it .... I could not think right ... and also was a great expectation to see the flowers that I was very frustrated. I'm sure it will be happier where she was. Not only to replace because there had not ties to it and I felt unsafe, if someone is trying to take her away. There is a lot of new people there for attending a course. Maybe next week. Anyway, thanks for the support. Hope it blooms

I thought of mouting it and than return to the old place.

I really appreciate your suggestions. It should not be a very special orchid, but would not have been left there. but it's nice to take care of it.hehe. I'll update if it blooms.

Now, working for the growth of roots. flowers have come. Are not so strong, the petals are a little soft, perhaps because of trauma in roots. A former dedrobium nobile, very common here. thanks you all.
