On a side note, I have heard of an antiviral product in India used for crop plants like tomato, potato etc, I have seen remarkable pictures of plants before and after treatment. I am sure such products will be available here in Europe and the US, any info on any of these?

Oh, Clint, that is terrible news. I know it must have been so hard for you to destroy such a beautiful plant. I am a big old softy when it comes to anything living, but you made the right decision to protect your other orchids. What a terrible shame.
