Initially the plant was labelled as Steinia pallida however when in flower, it turn up to be steinia bohnkianus, very huge about 3 inches with soft fragrant yellow in colour. Rarely seen in cultivation.

Very interesting how the flower rests on the surface of the mix. Indeed quite rare orchid
That is really nice. The bloom just at the base of the plant - is that because it is so large it would fall over otherwise?

Very, very pretty -- love the shape and soft yellow color. Just wish I could smell it!
Thanks for your comments. Actually this is bollea alliance" fan shape orchids" which their special characteristic are the blooms arise from the base/leaf axil. For this one because of the inflorescence is so short so it behave like that.
That is really pretty and a huge flower! Is the plant awfully tall? Another one I have never seen before, I love the fact its scented as well.
This is a very neat orchid. Thanks for sharing it!
I haven't heard of that before. I like it.
What is it potted in?
Very lovely.
Excellent closeup photo.
