Need info on Aliflor

Hey guys. I want to try s/h, but I was hoping to find the clay pellets in the area to save on shipping charges. I found a guy thats about an hour away and sells Aliflor. Has anyone had any expierence with this? I think I can get a 1.8 cu ft (50lbs) of it for $22.00. Thanks !

Tracy, that's what I used in the Phal S/H pictorial that's stuck at the top of this forum. So far, results are really good. Since the stuff isn't uniform, there's more surface area for evaporation so you may have to fill up your reservoir more often. I haven't found this to be a bad thing, though, since it helps make sure the water in there doesn't hang around long enough to get stagnant.
