    Default Dracunculus vulgaris (aka Arum dracunculus)

    I couldn't figure out what the bad smell was this morning. I forgot this was about to open. The flower is 24 inches long. There is a bigger one coming.

    The largest one has a few side growths. Remind me later in the season and I'll dig it up to see if they can be removed. I just threw them in the ground when they were given to me about 5 years ago. I know very little about them. They have been winter hardy here. Are yours?

    That's not the actual flower. Hundreds of flowers are at the base of the spathe. If pollinated become a cluster of orange berries.
