Yes, Tom, the flowers are almost translucent. I don't know if that comes across in the photo. My plant puts out one bloom at a time, though there are always 2-3 buds waiting. May be it's too young or not strong enough to open more than one bloom at a time?

Ron, I got this from a well known vendor in socal- of good repute, and very knowledgeable- and the tag read: Bulbo. aestivale (catenulatum clumping yellow). Though, when I googled "catenulatum" when I first got this plant, the flower pictures did look v different from mine.

The plant is Bulbophyllum aestivale. This beautiful, small-growing species, is endemic to the Philippines.

Ron, Gita just copied down what the plant tags said. This species was sold by the vendor as "aff. catenulatum--clumbing yellow" or something like that before it got identified. After the correct identification, this vendor will label it with the correct name but sometimes also put down what it was sold as on the tag.
