My Vandas in Bloom Right Now

It's vanda season I guess. Several of my vandas are in bloom at the moment.

This Mokara (I believe) is the least red of my red vandas.
For some reason it hasn't bloomed in seven years. I decided to fertilize more often, and now here's my reward. Photos taken late in the afternoon and in full sun.

An officemate gave it to me along with two other orchids in 2002 because she was moving to another city. It bloomed once in 2003 then it stopped. I tried different things like changing mounts/planting material, three different locations, a sound fertilizer regimen, consistent watering, whatever. It just kept on growing but no flowers.
My friend passed away in 2005. Well, she'll be smiling right now.

Thank you Yew Sung. The others have flower spikes already. With a little more help from Mother Nature, there will be more flowers soon. And more photos to post!
