    Default Misting House

    The misting house, highlight of the trip. This place is enclosed and chilled down. It is also misted at a fixed interval. The amount of plants youcan find here is simply unbelievable.










    High upon the cliff, I noticed a blooming Bulbophyllum echinolabium


    Budding Dendrobium macrophyllum


    How could a trip to see orchid without some Paphs?

    Now, its time to head back. Spent an hour in here but I'll be back again to shoot more flowers that I do not get to see in bloom, especially the bulbophyllums....ANyways, some parting shots as I head out....

    Haha, thanks for all the compliments. I am quite happy myself that I manage to find some orchids. Personally, I really like the all white spathoglottis. The regret is not able to see more bulbophyllums in bloom. Anyway, I will head there again soon to make a more detail photo journal on the misting room.

    So, how many of you actually named Singapore as "a place to visit before you die"? If that's true, i'll gladly bring youguys around.

    Great shots Vincent. Is the NOG part of the the Singapore Botanic Gardens complex ? Your pictures are a good advert for the coming World Orchid Conference in NOV of 2011. Though it's still a year to go I have already made plans to be there. Hope to meet some of our OT members there.
