Ron I can see why this plant is such a favorite. That gray center is small but sharp!, and yes it really does look very pearl like. I am always a sucker for orange and yellow orchids especially when they have the substance and waxy look these do. Are these difficult to raise?, and may I ask what their requirements are?

those are very easy, from shady to sunny spots, in pots or soil, also mounted possible, if you can keep it moist.

Cool orchid, Ron. I like the leaves too. Nan called it right: exquisite. Is it native to Leyte?

The plant reminds me of the evergreen Calanthes, but not the flowers of course.

true, like a mini calanthe, although most of the times the leaves are really wavy.

i think it is rare and almost impossible to get grey in any flower, let alone in an orchid as fanastich as this! SEHR GUT!
