    Default Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum



    Hey,

    Got a question. I saw this plant at the nursery. I asked the owner the name of the plant and he showed me the tag Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum, however, he told me that Bulbophyllum masdevalliaceum is synonym to Bulbophyllum blumei. Since I already have Bulbophyllum blumei, i dun want to risk it. Is the synonym true?

    This name is a synonym.
    Accepted Name: Bulbophyllum maxillare (Lindl.) Rchb.f. in W.G.Walpers, Ann. Bot. Syst. 6: 248 (1861).

    good question vincent,
    basically its up to you, but for my understanding the correct name is b.maxillare.

    The correct name for your plant is Bulbophyllum maxillare. The other names are synonyms.
