Do you just use a knife to slit them, or something heated?

Wow Betty good innovation I like it your idea, hopefully everything will go very smooth as your planned.

Patty, I use a very hot torch to heat up a sharp knife, then run it down the side of the container in four places. Then I make four to six holes in the bottom of each pots. I also use the white pearl rocks that can be purchased at big box stores. The size media I use depends on how big the roots are. The larger the roots, the larger the media. Seems to be working O.K.
