Hi Bruce,
I'm glad to have the spiders in my greenhouse now that I know they're helpful, but I'm not thrilled when I see one in the house, though...but I never kill any...we catch them if we can and do as you do and take them outside in a jar and turn them loose. Same with bugs we can catch. My husband is a fanatic about "setting them free!" I'd much rather do that, too.
