    Geoff, that is a nice offer and I am sure I would enjoy it much. Unfortunately, I am not that good a swimmer (though I do a great Dead Man's Float) and ship passage/air fare is a little pricey these days. Patty, I would do this for you except for the a fore mentioned reasons. Your not really close to the ocean so I guess putting the vanilla beans/pods in a bottle with a note wouldn't work either............................AL

    Well, I'm not too far...a three-hour drive to San Diego - oh wait! wrong ocean. We'll have to rethink this, Al.

    Wow nice flower... they are so hard to bloom out side of tropic. I wonder why hybridizers are still not making new Mokara hybrids using Archnis longisepala, which is the most compact specie and blooms under Phal. light level. It will be nice for grower outside of tropic.

    Hey Al , have you ever had this idea ? The earth rotates ( so they tell me) ; if you step off the roundabout and wait, I'll be coming past you a few hours later. Not quite sure how you get back on, since I'm travelling at about 1000mph ( one revolution every 24 hours) - you'll need real good brakes !

    especially if you are not an alcoholic - you might not get anything here except Bourbon or scotch... ( as you can tell, perhaps)...
