I think you are right Jojo. The size and flatness of the flowers sure looks like Velthius. I didn't quite notice that one.

Hi Willeke. At the current Philippine peso conversion rate, I think you could have bought the entire bunch without much of a dent on your budget.

Maybe vandas are cheaper here because many are native to the Philippines, so this is their natural habitat. Makes them so easy to grow. It also helps that there are no big vanda growers in Cotabato that export their produce. They aren't organized either into big trading groups. Some have small nurseries, or are just backyard orchid gardeners. In other cities in the Philippines, vandas are not that cheap at all.

You're right there. I can always make more space. Although I have a lot of little seedlings just deflasked. So they will get bigger also. Otherwise we have to move. LOL
