Default Rhynchorides Thai Noi x V tessellata

I posted pictures of Rhrds Thai Noi x V tessellata on 29 Aug. Here is another plant that is blooming. This clone has good floral arrangement on the spike and the form is much better than the first one. The overall colour is light lemon yellow and the tessellations seen on the other one can only be seen very faintly near the tips of the sepals and completely absent on the lateral petals, giving the flower an almost concolor yellow. The lip is much lighter coloured than the first one.

Yes Zainal. It's very fragrant and I think this clone is even more fragrant than the first one I posted.

Very nice flower! It's hard to imagine better form or color from these parents. What is the size of the plant and the flowers?

The plant is about 15 cm tall and looks very much like coelestis. The flowers are 5 cm across. This is the second blooming, the first was in May. There are 11 flowers on the spike. Thanks for the comments, Michael

Nice one Yew. It's little, but lovely flowers and pretty color. Also it's fragrant. What could you have more.

I saw this photo on the homepage gallery and must say i think the mouse would have clicked on it all by itself If I had missed it. Beautiful pastel yellow and perfect contrast with the 2 tiny eyes in the centre. Have not yet myself observed the 'eyes' before so clearly on a vanda but they all just have a personality of their own, dont they!. Great visual lesson in the 'evolution of orchids' and its unique genetics at attracting a specific pollinator for their very own future, even though its a clone, its a winner.
