There was definitely some size variation in this flask:
The weird knobs do make me wonder, though. They aren't roots, per se. The bottom growth in this picture has one leaf in the lower corner and the rest are oblong alien protuberances.
Well, any clump that had a leaf got put in a compot. It violates my inner dutchness to throw anything out! Their "pots" are a 4 oz dessert cup and a 1Tablespoon medicine cup.
Betty, my first attempt at unflasking included an Enc. cordigera/Toshie Aoki cross, and Enc. inaguensis X Enc. phonicea. It has been a couple of weeks and I've only killed a thimble-full so far.
