Those nodes look like PLB's (Protocorn Like Bodies). There might be some growth after deflasking. I agree with you on the placement on compots. Make sure they are in a shaded area for a couple of weeks. How about a dome or plastic cover so they don't dry out? The larger one might be a tetraploid! Good luck and keep us posted!
