Can anyone help me ID this orchid. Its growing in with other plants and has popped up for a second time. The compost is a mixture of bark and moss peat with a covering of moss on top. I'm not sure wether it cam in with any of the potting media of the plants that were planted in the tub. Its quite small, the flowers are a maximum of 2.5cm on total length from top to bottom. The height of the plant is about 30cm. And there are only 3 flowers on the spike which are opening in sequence. Its really pretty and it would be nice to know what i've got growing.

It looks a lot like a habenaria to me, but I am no expert. This thread has a shot of an orange habenaria though, as well as some cultural info:

Yes I agree with Kathi - it is a Habenaria and could be one of the colour variants of H rhodocheila.

I would go for Ponerorchis graminifolia. I recognize it because in holland we have a fanatic collector of these little japanese orchids. They come in very many shapes. Here is a website to enjoy all this variation. And I think you will find your orchid between them!

I would be inclined to disagree. All of the pictures of this species i could find had 3 lobes on the bottom of the plant instead of 4 like the one above has, and the flowers were not hairy, and neither were the stems, unlike the one above.
I think it is a Habenaria of some sort, and would agree with Kathi and Yew, because the characteristics mentioned above match the general description of Habenaria.

Thank you all so far for the IDs. I've added some more pics (bit blurred though i'm afraid) of the whole plant and another of the flower.

And yes, i'm definitely in agreement with Cjcorner, its is an absolute cutie.

Im still flexing towards Habenaria, it honestly looks nothing like those Ponerorchis pics i saw. Thats a mighty long spur for such a tiny flower isnt it?

Thanks to everyone for the help. I've been looking at the other colour variants of the Habenaria and thinking of trying to get some.
