Beautiful cymbidium orchid blooms, Derek! Hope you get the correct identification.

Cymbidium bicolor var. pubescens, or C. pubescens to some.
Its lips are beautiful and unique. Thanks for sharing!
What made this plant pubescent (glabrous = no presence of hairs)?
As what I have observed from my typical Cymbidium bicolor, it is also pubescent same with Cymbidium finalysonianum and Cymbidium atropurpurea.
thanks for the helpful info Wally!

Hi Derek,
Thanks for sharing. I'm actually going "hunting" for this bicolor this weekend in the wild. saw one a few years back growing on a slender tree and didn't quite know how to collect it then & had no experience growing them too. Instead, I collected a cym. finlaysonianum which is thriving so much today. Also trying to sow from seeds as the last bloom yielded a pod thanks to the over-zealous ants. Any idea how long it needs to mature and how to go about preparing the culture?
