I just divided my huge clump of B.cumingii, they keep flowering non-stop. Anyway, Wally, the B.basisetum that I got from you at WOC, it has 7 flowers from 3 flower spikes now
Cheers

here are close ups, just no profile shots, sorry.
1. C. makoyanum
2. C. brevibrachiatum
there is not much differences in between their columns, i also zoomed in a few older shots and shapes differ slightly even from bloom to bloom, on both species.
for me the most obvious distinguishing features in C. makoyanum are:
- the tuber-like lateral sepals
- the "pimply" surface of the floral segments
- shorter, almost straight hairs on the dorsal sepal and petals
- the bigger sized flowers
