Flowering completely out of season - but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Has steadily improved since I bought a single growth seedling near flowering size some 10 years ago. Now getting to be too big to use anywhere except on a show bench or a big Society display, and none of those due for some months yet, apart from which it won't go in my car any more. Too heavy to carry too, so this is the end - or at least what happens next is the big split up, and it will take a year or two to settle down I expect - still I will probably get half a dozen decent clumps from this - each of the four flowering growths is supported by several growths coming up towards flowering size.
Flowers are about 5 inch or a bit bigger, natural span.

Wow - Gorgeous blooms and a fantastical plant. Hey - I know of an Orchid Conservatory that could use a few good "clumps" when you split this up. By the way, just when is in season for this phrag?

usually flowers in June.( most Phrags are summer flowering I think ? Has been repotted after the last flowering so probably 18 mnths between the last two lots of flowers.
Will it flower again this coming June ? .... remains to be seen.

Very pretty indeed. A pity you have to split up such a great plant.
Here's another volunteer in case you don't manage to get rid of your clumps...
With regard to flowering seasons, the 3 Phrags I got are all blooming at different times : my Bessae flowered in the summer, 'Sedenii' just stopped flowering last week and 'Eric Young' shld start blooming in a couple of weeks.

Hmmm, yes you do have a respectable amount of plantage there.

I agree that it's to bad you have to split this orchid up, though your reasons are certainly good ones. I only wish I had the same circumstances Geoff. AL

Well. That picture sure showed me just how little mine is. It is in a 4" pot and about 15 inches tall. I guess I have a while to go before it starts to bloom. It does have multiple growth, but could easily be hidden inside of yours pot and all.
