Many of my friends grow their orchids in organic media or in SH with balanced fertilizer all year long without any problem. They have wonderful blooms and good growth.
From my experience, neither bloom / growth fertilizers nor Superthrive or equivalent are essential for a successful growing/blooming. I used them for years, I stopped and I see no difference.
