Congrats Zainal for blooming it. Been eying it for some time but not sure whether it would bloom in the lowlands. Now that you you have bloomed it I'll be on the lookout for one.BTW it's very pretty. Thanks for posting.

Nice.. Micranthum and other parvisepalum paphs are very difficult to rebloom in the uniformly warm lowlands.. They are also prone to rot, like brachys, especially during the rainy season.

Hi Yew I do believe since you are very near to the Indochina you dont have any problem with this species but dont try Paph. armeniacum very very hard refuse to bloom and stunted.

Is this one also being called 'Magic Lantern'? I saw it in the show a few years ago & it was also pink Paph. with real big lip...

Hi Lynn Magic Lantern is the crossing between ( micranthum and delenatii) the flower sometimes almost similar with micranthum depend which parent is more dominant one thing the petals of micranthum always very small as compared to M. Lantern. Thanks.

Don't quote me on this, Lynn, but I think Paph. Magic Lantern is a cross between Paph. micranthum and Paph. delenatii - but both are parvisepalums and the cross has much the shape of micranthum. Good spotting!

Thank you for great answers, Zain & Maura! I like those very big lips & pink color, very unique. I googled & found out that both Paph.micranthum & Paph.magic lantern are all lovely, can't choose between them, they are quite similar, so I got confused ^^

I'm beginning to get into the world of slipper orchids, just found out recently that there are SO many hybrids, all gorgeous and beautiful,
but not all can be grown here. I'm more familiar with Brachypetalum-I have some Paph.godefroye,Thanks Yew for making me knowing that word
when you commented on my former thread . They are native here and can be grown at the very low elevator above sea level where I live

Hi Lynn the easiest paph to grow in lowland are bellatulum, concolor, niveum also from Coclopetalum like chamberlianum, liemianum glaucophyllum primulinum, moquettianum they are all very easy to bloom and take care.
