Tom, I was told they would bloom at a small size, too. Mine didn't. I think they just need vast amounts of light, water and food. I would love to find more species.

Geoff, I would be happy if I could count on three blooms. I just can't seen to get them to flower like the vandas. I can't wait to see the big bloom show on yours. And for Neofinetias, I can't bloom them.

Al, Here's hoping you have spikes before you know it This is a good time of year for the big dinner plate vandas. I have several tessellata color forms but only a few in spike. Thanks Al

My goodness, Cathy - NOW I see how you manage to collect all these vandaceous types - a retail greenhouse couldn't even begin to compete with you. It must take forever to mist them all - do you do it by hand, or do you have a system?

Yes, it takes forever, Maura. I'm going to put in misting fans but will continue to hand water. I can see each plant that way.
