    Default Second spike now in bloom

    The second spike is in full bloom already. The leaves in the background belong to the pteroceras unguiculatum which is planted about 1 foot below this cymbidium. The pteroceras is also in bloom right now, its buds can be seen in the photo. The spike is more than two feet long, reaching the thorny euphorbias planted at the foot of the tree.
