Magnolia in bloom...

We saved this Magnolia tree when it was a mere nine inches tall...with only one leaf. That was sixteen years ago...now it is almost fifty feet tall, with many blooms...Enjoy...Betty

Very pretty Betty. There is one in the woods behind my house. Close enough that I can smell the fragrance.
People never realize how big a tree magnolias can get it. I see them plant them up close to their houses.

The flowers look familiar, but it's from a different tree found here. I agreed, Betty, i see all plant as interesting in their own form, leaves, flowers and growing methods.

nothing brightens my day more than seein a magnolia... growing up, i lived in the "olde towne" aka the original city center... and the streets were lined with live oaks and magnolias... as kids we spend hours livin up in magnolia trees... i guess we were that rare species of southern magnolia spider monkey! thanks for the ray of morning sunshine!!!
