Hello all, I've been browsing about mounting...Have a tolumnia that I'd like to try to mount, and if it takes, plan to buy and mount more for growing in my home....where I THINK I'm up for the challenge of watering and humidity.

We recently had terrible wind storms and I was given this poplar branch by a friend that knows I've been pondering a mount....It's really too large for only 1 tol but if it takes...well, I've got a plan a'brewin'.

Some questions-

Is poplar a hard enough wood to mount on?
Do I need to treat it for pests/fungus in any special way before mounting?
Am I crazy to plan to mount only 1 tol with the plan of adding others to the same branch if I'm successful?
