Amey- now THAT is a great idea.... I really wanted to use the logwould I mount the tols on cork and permanently attach to the log or attach in such a way that each can be removed easily and dunked for watering and then replaced? I imagine that eventually the tols roots would spread (hopefully over the log and this plan would then be impossible).
Patty- I'm a windowsill/under lights grower and I've got this nice open, blank space in the corner where my grow table is. I'm thinking log on the wall where it would get some diffuse sun from the south window there
with spotlight type grow light above and a drip chamber (like rectangular planter box the length of the log) below with a fogger in it to help with humidity and give me a nice misted look. Not sure about a barrier to protect the wall from moisture yet...

Pavel- wow. Good advice.... Never tried that before. Wonder if the log will FIT in my oven....?
